The truth is not hidden But are the people willing to see it?
The truth rings a bell
But are the people willing to hear it?
The truth is an open book
But are the people willing to read it?
The truth hurts
But are the people willing to feel it?
The truth will out
But are the people willing to act on it?
The truth is a dirty lie
But are the people willing to wash their hands of it?
The truth is in song, a sigh, or the slip of a tongue
It speaks through a child, a cannon, or a speech in a campaign
The truth is a candle lit, a light turned on, and a document discovered
It comes out of the shadows, encourages the heart, and frees the spirit
The truth cannot be denied, debated, or dashed on the rocks of disaster
It is in the sun rising, the moon setting, and the tides turning
The truth is ever present, available, and obvious
It is not hidden
